Kanye West, the American rapper, is now officially known as Ye rather than Kanye.
A Los Angeles judge today granted rapper Kanye West’s petition to officially change his name to “Ye,” with no middle or last name.
Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Michelle Williams Court granted the singer’s request, which he filed on August 24 and stated he was making the change for personal reasons.
The 44-year-old rapper released his eighth studio album, “Ye,” in June 2018. In the same year, in an interview with radio host Big Boy, the singer stated that he believes “ye” is “the most commonly used word in the Bible, and said in the Bible it means ‘you.’”
